DR. SABARI ARCOT was born in India and moved to Houston, Texas at the age of nine. She earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from Houston Baptist University before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. During optometry school, she served in leadership roles with organizations such as SVOSH (Student Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity) and SPHVCA (Student Public Health Vision Care Association), advocating for public awareness of ocular conditions. Following graduation, Dr. Arcot pursued a residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Her training included extensive experience in specialty contact lens fitting for patients with keratoconus, corneal grafts, corneal dystrophies, and ocular surface disease, as well as active involvement in surgical co-management. She also contributed to student education through lectures and clinical instruction. Shortly after residency, she earned Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry and remains active in the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and Harris County Optometric Society. Today, Dr. Arcot specializes in comprehensive eye health evaluations and the management of ocular disease, with a particular focus on corneal conditions and specialty contact lenses. She is committed to personalized, patient-centered care, ensuring individuals are informed and engaged in every aspect of their treatment plan. Outside of practice, she enjoys hiking, cycling, spending time with her family, and exploring new cuisines.
