Paloma Porras, MSc, is a researcher at Ocupharm , Madrid, Spain, and also a researcher at Hospital Clínico San Carlos, Madrid, Spain. She obtained her degree in Optometry in 2012 from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and completed a Master's degree in Vision and Optometry in 2018 at UCM, where she published her first indexed journal article on corneal biomechanics associated with orthokeratology contact lenses.

In 2022, she joined the Ocupharm research group at UCM, where she has been involved in multiple studies focusing on myopia control and contact lenses. In 2023, she joined the Myopia Unit at Hospital Clínico San Carlos, where she continues her research line on myopia control using different pharmacological and optical approaches.

She is a clinical optometrist with seven years of professional experience. Her publications primarily focus on myopia control. She is currently pursuing her PhD, with her doctoral research centered on myopia control and contact lenses.
