Nathan Schramm OD, FSLS, FBCLA

Nathan Schramm, OD, FSLS, FBCLA, is Chief Medical Officer for a group of specialty contact lens practices in California and Nevada. His clinical and research focus includes scleral lenses, keratoconus management, myopia management, and wavefront-guided optics. He is a Fellow of both the Scleral Lens Education Society and the British Contact Lens Association, founded the 8,000-member Scleral Lens Practitioners Facebook group, co-founded the International Congress of Scleral Contacts, and lectures nationally and internationally on specialty lenses. He is also committed to education and mentorship, training several fourth-year optometry students each quarter from the Southern California College of Optometry. In addition, he is dedicated to global outreach and helped establish a scleral lens program in Armenia through the Armenian EyeCare Project. Nate is an animal lover, daily gym enthusiast, and incorporates extended fasting into his monthly routine, having completed fasts of up to 6 day
