Lauren Zabaleta OD, FAAO

Dr. Lauren Zabaleta, OD, FAAO serves as an Assistant Professor at Marshall B. Ketchum's Southern California College of Optometry. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Zabaleta graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree from SCCO. Upon graduation, she completed her residency training in cornea and contact lens at SCCO's Ketchum Health. Immediately following, she became an associate optometrist at a private practice in Thousand Oaks, CA where she provided primary care, myopia control, and specialty contact lens services. Dr. Zabaleta joined the team of faculty at SCCO in 2023. She oversees students in the contact lens laboratory courses and in the contact lens clinic with an emphasis on myopia control. Dr. Zabaleta is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a member of the American Optometric Association, and a member of the Association of Optometric Contact Lens Education.
