Korine van Dijk, PhD, BOptom - Clinical Director Visser Contact Lens Practice
Korine van Dijk graduated as an optometrist at the Hogeschool van Utrecht in 1995. She then gained extensive experience in the application of both cosmetic and medical contact lenses at Visser Contact Lens Practice. In 2009, she continued her career as an optometrist at NIIOS in Rotterdam, concentrating mainly on the examination and treatment of corneal pathology. She was also part of several research projects focusing on the clinical outcomes of lamellar keratoplasty. In 2018, she completed her PhD on the subject "Clinical outcomes of modern lamellar keratoplasty techniques" in collaboration with Leiden University Medical Center. She is (co-)author of >70 peer-reviewed publications and has presented at several conferences. Since August 2023, Korine has rejoined the Visser Contact Lens team and is a member of the research team. As of September 2025, she also serves as Clinical Director.
