Dr. Kelsea Skidmore graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry with an OD/MS degree, where her thesis was centered on scleral lens complications. She now sees patients at an OD/MD practice and surgical center, with a focus on specialty contact lenses for irregular corneas and ocular surface disease, as well as myopia management in children. Dr. Skidmore is adjunct faculty at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she participates in research projects with the Ocular Surface Institute involving scleral lenses and myopia management.
Dr. Skidmore is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, as well as a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society, where she is actively involved with the Public Education committee. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and serves on the board for the Harris County Optometric Society.
