Dr. Fiona Yuan OD

Fiona Yuan, OD, FAAO, FSLS, is an optometrist with Kaiser Permanente Southern California and clinical faculty at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 2019 and completed a residency in Primary Care and Contact Lenses at Brooke Army Medical Center in 2020. Dr. Yuan served as an optometrist in the U.S. Army from 2019 to 2022 and subsequently practiced at LensCrafters before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2023. Her clinical practice focuses on primary eye care, ocular disease, and specialty contact lenses. In her faculty role, she teaches and supervises fourth-year optometry externs at the University Eye Center Los Angeles. Her experience providing specialty lens care across military, commercial, integrated healthcare, and academic settings informs her interest in the practical challenges of incorporating specialty lenses into diverse models of optometric practice. She is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Optometry and the Scleral Lens Education Society.
