Dr. Dwight Barnes O.D.

Dwight Barnes, OD, FIAOMC, IACMM, is the owner of Cary Family Eye Care in Cary, North Carolina, where he also serves as Director of the Myopia Control Clinic. He has extensive experience in myopia management and orthokeratology and is a frequent lecturer on clinical myopia management, orthokeratology, axial length, patient communication, and the practical implementation of myopia management in clinical practice.

Dr. Barnes is a Fellow of the International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control and holds the International Academy Certification in Myopia Management. He serves as Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control and is Co-Chair of the Vision by Design Boot Camp program. He also serves on the Advisory Board for Review of Myopia Management.

In addition to lecturing nationally, Dr. Barnes has written extensively on myopia management and has appeared on numerous optometric podcasts. His particular interests include translating emerging myopia research into practical clinical care and helping practices successfully integrate myopia management into everyday practice.
