Daniel Neal PhD

Dr. Daniel Neal, PhD is an engineer and scientist working in vision science and complex optical systems. He is a serial entrepreneur, and founder/CEO of WaveFront Dynamics.
At Sandia National Laboratories, he developed several lasers and sensors and a practical Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor.
Dr. Neal co-founded WaveFront Sciences, Inc, which developed the first commercial aberrometer, the Complete Ophthalmic Analysis System (COAS).
As part of Abbott Medical Optics and J&J Vision, Dr. Neal and team developed a combined aberrometer and topographer (iDesign) used for wavefront guided refractive surgery.
He continues to conduct scientific research, publishing clinical research in accommodation, HOA correction and instrument design. He has more than 100 publications and holds 50+ patents.
WaveFront Dynamics was founded in 2019 to provide expanded treatments for highly aberrated eyes. He led the development of the WaveDyn aberrometer and wavefront guided contact lens process.
