Dr. Chad Rosen is a Professor at the Michigan College of Optometry (MCO). After attending the University of North Dakota for undergraduate education, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration and majored in Entrepreneurship, he received his Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry (PUCO). He then completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lens at PUCO and went on to complete two years of Fellowship at MCO's Vision Research Institute (VRI). Dr. Rosen also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and an Advanced Studies Certificate in Management Tools & Concepts. He has completed is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO).
Dr. Rosen has taught numerous courses at MCO including Ocular Anatomy & Physiology, Practice Management, Environmental Vision, Clinical Problem Solving, and in Basic & Advanced Contact Lens. He is the Supervisor for the Cornea & Contact Lens Resident, the director of MCO's VRI, and an attending doctor for the students, providing clinical care to patients in the Contact Lens Clinic. He has been involved in many research projects, written publications, is the past Editor in Chief for the Journal of Contact Lens Research and Science and is the Treasurer for the Association of Optometric Contact Lens Educators (AOCLE). Dr. Rosen has lectured at an international level to practitioners in the contact lens and anterior segment community. He enjoys spending time with his twin boys and wife Samantha exploring and doing activities in Western Michigan.
